About

I believe that each individual is deserving of support. Our mental and emotional wellbeing have huge impacts on how we see the world and how we live our lives, so it makes sense that we can struggle when our worlds feel a bit unbalanced. I think that therapy can be a powerful tool to help achieve this balance and stability, helping us to feel a bit more 'okay'. I endeavour to provide a safe, supportive space for personal growth and change to happen - in a way that feels authentic and true to you.

What is counselling?

Counselling is a type of talking therapy that works in a confidential and non-judgemental way, giving clients space to process their difficulties and address challenges. Being given space to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours safely can help support your self-awareness, and personal development.

Person-centred counselling might be a bit different from other therapies you have read about, or have experienced yourself! It works in a non-directive way, that believes with the right therapeutic environment, everyone has the potential to grow and develop as a person. This is the kind of space I like to offer clients.

You might come to session with a specific thing in mind to talk about or process, or you may decide to talk openly about any challenges you're currently facing. You might want to explore coping strategies, or understand yourself better from a developmental point of view. We'll work together to explore what exactly works best for you, as an individual.

Choosing the right counsellor can be difficult ...

... and it's worth checking that any potential practitioner is trained and qualified to support you!
